Senior Outreach and Treatment

Rushford recognizes there is an increased demand for high quality behavioral health services for Connecticut's aging population. Our Senior Outreach Program educates health professionals, individuals and concerned family members about the incidence of substance abuse among seniors. The program employs nontraditional strategies to identify individuals, 55 years of age and older who may be experiencing chemical dependency issues. The Senior Outreach Program provides prevention and outpatient treatment services for older adults who live in Middlesex or New Haven counties. Outreach services include educational presentations to caregivers and senior groups on medication management, issues related to phases of aging, such as losses, adjusting to retirement and fulfilling one's potential as aging progresses.
