The Girl Talk program consists of three sessions a week, for 6 weeks for three hours per session. This program will be open to sixth-grade girls at Keigwin School, and to seventh and eighth grade girls at Woodrow Wilson Middle School. The structured summer programs will focus on girls, the Media, physical activity and nutrition. Girl Talk encourages healthy behaviors and also teach the skills needed to understand and evaluate media messages and how these messages affect their daily lives, by asking the “who”, the “why”, the “what”, and the ”how.” For more information or to register for this program please contact Felicia Goodwine-Vaughters at 860-852-1080 or FVaught@rushford.org
Girl Talk is funded in part by the Middlesex County Community Foundation.
